|
This course is designed for anyone who works or would like to work as a registered Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator in Queensland in accordance with the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003.
Outline Our industry-recognised trainers deliver in a practical manner using interesting case studies and real life experiences to explain legislation and the workers compensation process. Our approach ensures knowledge and skills are developed so that the functions of the Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator may be carried out with confidence in the workplace.
Course Aim RRTWC is integral to the principle of developing return to work programs at the workplace that facilitate durable return to work outcomes for injured workers.
Development of the course in response to industry, enterprise and community needs This course has been developed in response to an amendment to the Queensland Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Regulation 2003 (Section 99A (1)) which states that a person meets the criteria to be a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator by satisfactorily completing a workplace rehabilitation course accredited under the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Act 2000 and meeting the legislation relating to other State Training Authorities (STA) registering as a RRTWC with the Authority (Q-COMP). This amendment has been in effect from 1 July 2009.
Key stakeholders in the workers’ compensation scheme, including those represented on the Course Development Advisory Committee (DCAC), endorse the need to provide adequate training for RRTWC’s to enable employers to meet legislative requirements and to assist injured workers to return to work. |
