1.5 hours course Overview The use of alcohol and other drugs (AOD) at the workplace is a significant occupational health and safety concern. These substances have a variety of effects on users depending on the type and amount of the substance consumed, including a decrease in mental and physical capabilities, poor judgment, loss of coordination, risk-taking behaviour, an increase if accidents, and long-term health effects. Course Aims The Kinetic Drug and Alcohol Awareness Training course has been designed to equip companies with an understanding of rights and responsibilities in relation to alcohol and other drugs at the workplace. It covers signs and symptoms of AOD abuse as well as long-term effects, testing methods and responsibilities at the workplace, purpose and implementation of a workplace Alcohol and Other Drug Strategy, as well as statistical and legal background information.
