Chief Medical Officers (CMO or MRO)

Chief Medical Officers (CMO) or Medical Review Officers (MRO) are typically one of Kinetic’s team of Occupational Physicians who supports your company’s injury management team with specialist advice.  It is often beneficial for large companies to have access to a senior Doctor who intimately understands your company and is focussed on supporting your injury management requirements.  Some of the roles provided by our team of CMO’s included but are not limited to; •    Develop injury management processes and maintain a working knowledge of the       available alternative duties. •    Oversight and provision of direction to, medical and allied health personnel in the       management of injuries. •    Provision of advice regarding fitness for duty of injured workers and WorkCover       premium reduction strategies •    Participation in case conferences regarding the management of difficult or potentially       high risk WorkCover claims. •    Examination of long term WorkCover cases and workers with serious injuries, providing       advice regarding their return to work, redeployment or other resolution. For more complex cases, Kinetic’s Occupational Physicians will: •    Provide a second opinion facility •    Provide case reviews and reports •    Provide case management •    Provide incident investigation clarification and reports •    Provide medico-legal reviews and fitness for duty reviews •    Provide liaison with other treating practitioners, including General Practitioners For more information on these services please Contact the Kinetic Health team.
